Casey

The team interview is the best. I think my favorite was where after getting my answer to a question, the group argued amongst themselves about my answer, the purpose of the question, and the phrasing of the question.

It was a nice 10 minute break for me though...

I was with you until the 'don't bother showing code.' I don't care about the language used -- I just want to hear the candidate work through a small problem (no, not something that we're trying to solve), talking me through their thinking. It's not the correct answer that wins, it's the process.

somenerd: i do agree 100% about finding out/discovering a potential candidate's thinking process... i just don't think you're going to find that out through their "sample code..."

hames

christ, don't remind me, i have to find us two more programmers this month. i'm thinking 3 (1 more to replace me), i'm tired of this fuckin joint!

Dave

You laugh but asking the difference between a dataset and a datareader knocks out 99% of people, how sad is that

I was actually glad to come across your post today. You have a knack for making a difficult subject easy to understand.

Nice!

Fuck. You just needed that word one more time here, for eloquence sake.
